Madhura Karnik is a freelance reporter for New York City News Service and a  graduate student at the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism, New  York. She is specializing in Business & Economics reporting. Born and brought up in Mumbai, India, Madhura has completed her Masters in Management Studies (Finance) from the University of Mumbai and has worked as a financial analyst before starting her journalism studies.
